VONNE would like to urge organisations to take part in the VCSE Review. There are two important consultations which form part of the Review, and organisations have until the 6th Novermber to participate.

The consultations have been issued by an advisory group of health and social care and voluntary sector representatives and has been commissioned by the Department of Health, NHS England, and Public Health England. The consultations follow report from the group which concluded that current approaches to partnership, funding and commissioning are unlikely to lead to the desired improvements in health and wellbeing outcomes. The group believe that more effective funding alone will not achieve these outcomes, with collaboration and co-design in services essential to improved health and wellbeing.

The consultation has two elements, a review of the Voluntary Sector Investment programme, and a review of wider funding and partnerships between health and care agencies and the VCSE sector

The first consultation asks for views from the voluntary sector and from those working in health and social care on the current state of investment, partnership working, and how closer collaboration could be fostered. For more information, see the website.

The second consultation asks for views on the role and effectiveness of the government’s current ‘voluntary sector investment partnership’ suite of grants. For more information, see the website.

VONNE would like to invite you to an event on the afternoon of the 14th October. The event will take place in Stockton and will enable people to feed into the review through workshop discussions. We will confirm the location soon.

You can contact Alex Robson if you would like further information.
